Monuments or Markers at Legacy

Designing and purchasing a headstone to memorialize your loved one can be a daunting and confusing task.  Legacy Funeral Home is happy to assist you in the design and purchase of a headstone.  We will work with you to meet your design and financial goals.

3 Easy Steps to Memorializing Your Loved One.

1. DESIGN - Call one of our staff members at Legacy Funeral Home to make an appointment to design your monument or marker.

After you've selected a design we will take it from there.  It is helpful if you would bring in any photos that you think you might like to use as custom art at this meeting.  This will help speed up the process.  Please note that we do have over 100's of stock art you can choose from as well.

A proof and pricing will be created for your approval.  Proofs using stock art can take up to 2 weeks and proof with custom art can take up to 4 weeks, depending on how complex the custom artwork is (custom artwork goes to an artist for re-creation).

2.  APPROVAL - After a proof is created, we will call you to come in and approve or make any changes.  When the proof is approved a 50% minimum deposit will be required to place the order with the granite company.

3.  ORDER - The proof has been approved and the deposit has been made, now it is time to order!  Legacy will place the order with the granite company.  Depending on the granite you've selected: production, delivery, and installation can take from 3-5 months from final approval and deposit.  Please note: Cemeteries are closed between the end of September through the end of March for headstone installation.  This will vary from year to year depending on the weather.  After a marker or monument is installed, Legacy will collect the remaining balance due.
